'True Blood' actor Nelson Ellis Died

Nelson Ellis, the talented actor, who starred in 'True Blood', a horror drama series by HBO, as Lafayette Reynolds, had been fighting against drug addiction and alcohol abuse for many years. He lost the battle of life in only 39 years due to heart failure from alcohol abuse. Nelsan Ellis was born on November 30, 1977 in Harvey, Illinois, USA and died on July 8, 2017 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Emily Gerson Saines, the manager of Nelson Ellis told that Nelson had passed away due to complications with his heart. He was a great talent, his presence and words would be missed. 

According to the statement by his family, Nelson Ellis struggled to stop the use of alcohol. After withdrawal from alcohol, he suffered from some blood infection that resulted in the loss of kidneys and the drop of blood pressure. In Woodhull Hospital, he stayed for four days and lost his life. 

Nelson Ellis went to Jess Lanier High School for a year in Alabama then transferred to McAdory High School. He graduated from Thornridge High School. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Juilliard (2004). Nelson Ellis started his journey in True Blood in 2007 as Lafayette Reynolds.
